Effective date: 10 August 2026 Last updated: 6 September 2026

These terms are a contract between you and HALOMATH LTD. Please read them — we have tried to keep them short and in plain English.

1. Who we are

HALOMATH LTD, a company registered in England & Wales.

  • Company number: 17294004
  • Website: halomath.net
  • Contact: hello@halomath.net

"We", "us" and "our" mean HALOMATH LTD. "You" means the parent or guardian who holds the account.

2. The Service, and who may use it

Halomath is an online maths practice service for children ("the Service").

  • You must be 18 or over and a parent or legal guardian of any child you add.
  • You open and control the account. Children do not open their own accounts.
  • You are responsible for supervising your child's use, and for everything that happens under your account.
  • You must give accurate information and keep your login details secure. Tell us promptly at hello@halomath.net if you think someone else has access.

We may set a reasonable limit on the number of learner profiles per account, in line with the plan you choose.

3. What you get

3.1 What is included

Your subscription covers daily adaptive maths and non-verbal reasoning practice, progress reports, and the in-app helper, for the number of children in your plan.

It does not currently include 11+ mock papers or competition papers. If we add capabilities like these in future, they may be offered separately. Nothing in these terms is a promise that we will build them.

3.2 Ongoing development

The Service is actively being built. Some parts are still rough, and things will change. We tell you this up front rather than after you have paid.

This does not reduce your legal rights. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content and services must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described — and that applies to us at every stage. If something is not, tell us and we will repair, replace, or refund as the law requires.

3.3 What we do not promise

We help children practise maths. We do not guarantee any particular academic result, exam outcome, grade, or school place, and no statement by us should be read as such a guarantee.

Progress reports and AI-generated feedback are a teaching aid, not a formal educational, psychological, or clinical assessment. AI can be wrong. Use your own judgement, and tell us when something looks off — we would rather hear it.

3.4 Availability

We aim to keep the Service running, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may suspend it for maintenance, and will give notice where we reasonably can.

4. Acceptable use

Please do not:

  • Share your account credentials, or let people outside your household use your plan
  • Copy, scrape, resell, or redistribute our questions, content, or reports
  • Reverse engineer, probe, or interfere with the Service or its security
  • Upload anything unlawful, abusive, or that infringes someone else's rights
  • Use the Service to build a competing product or to train a machine learning model

We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these rules. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will warn you first and give you a chance to put it right.

5. Intellectual property

Ours: we own (or license) the Service, the software, the question bank, the content, and the Halomath name and branding. You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it for your own family's learning, for as long as your account is active. We reserve everything not expressly granted.

Yours: your child's answers, working, and progress data belong to you. You give us the licence we need to run the Service — to store it, process it, and generate reports and adaptive practice from it. That licence exists only to deliver the Service to you, and ends when you delete the data. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle it.

This licence does not include training AI. Under our Zero Training Promise, we do not use your child's work to train, fine-tune, or improve any AI model — ours or our suppliers'. See §7 of the Privacy Policy.

We may use anonymised, aggregated statistics that cannot identify anyone to improve and describe the Service.

6. Prices and payment

6.1 Your first month is free

Your first month is free, and we do not ask for a card to start. This applies to everyone — there are no waves, no exceptions, and no expiry date on the offer.

At the end of the free month, the Service stops unless you choose to subscribe. We will not silently start charging you.

6.2 Plans

PlanCoversPer monthPer year
Solo1 child£9.99£99
Duo2 children£14.99£149
FamilyUp to 4 children£19.99£199

Annual is priced at ten times the monthly rate — effectively two months free. All prices include VAT where it applies.

Subscriptions renew automatically — monthly or annually depending on what you chose — and are billed from the date you subscribe, not from the 1st of the month. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your full card number.

6.3 Founding price

If you subscribe as a founding family, the price you start on is locked for as long as your subscription stays active and uninterrupted. General price rises will not apply to you.

If you cancel and later come back, you re-join at whatever price is current at that time. Founding pricing will not be open forever.

6.4 If prices change

We may change prices for new and non-founding customers. If a change would affect you, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email, and you can cancel before it takes effect. If you cancel for that reason, you will not be charged the new price.

6.5 Failed payments

If a payment fails, we will retry and let you know. If it stays unpaid we may suspend access until it is resolved. We will not delete your data because of a failed payment without telling you first.

7. Cancelling and refunds

7.1 Cancel any time

You can cancel any time from your account settings, or by emailing hello@halomath.net. Cancellation stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not make you phone anyone or explain yourself.

7.2 Refunds

We do not offer change-of-mind refunds after you subscribe. Your first month is free with no credit card (§6.1) — that is when you try Halomath before any payment is taken.

If you subscribe and pay, you may cancel future renewals at any time (§7.1). Cancellation does not refund the current billing period; you keep access until the period you have already paid for ends.

This does not affect your legal rights. If the Service is not of satisfactory quality, not fit for purpose, or not as described, you may be entitled to a remedy under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 — contact hello@halomath.net and we will respond within 5 working days.

7.3 Your statutory 14-day right

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 you normally have 14 days from entering into the contract to cancel a distance contract for a refund.

Because the Service starts straight away, when you subscribe we ask you to confirm that you want it to start immediately and that you understand this can affect that 14-day right once the service has been fully supplied.

In practice this rarely matters here, because your first month is free and unpaid before any subscription payment is taken, and by the time you pay you have already had a full month to try the Service.

7.4 Deleting your account

You can delete your account and your data at any time. See the Privacy Policy for what happens to the data and how long deletion takes.

7.5 If we end it

We may close your account on reasonable notice if we stop offering the Service, or immediately if you seriously breach §4. If we close your account and you have not breached these terms, we will refund the unused part of anything you have paid.

8. Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot legally be limited.

Subject to that, and because this is a consumer service:

  • We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that is not foreseeable.
  • Our total liability to you is capped at the greater of £100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
  • We are not liable for business losses — the Service is supplied for private, domestic use.
  • We are not liable for failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, or by your device, network, or internet connection.

9. Privacy and children's data

How we handle your data and your child's data is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: we never use your child's work to train AI models, we never show them adverts, we never sell data, we never rank them against other children — and you can ask us to delete everything at any time.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms — for example when we change plans or add features. If a change materially affects you, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before it takes effect, and you can cancel free of charge if you do not accept it. Minor changes (typos, clarifications, legal updates) take effect when posted.

11. General

  • Whole agreement. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us.
  • Transfer. You may not transfer your account. We may transfer our rights and obligations, for example if the business is sold — this will not affect your rights, and we will tell you.
  • Severability. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
  • No waiver. If we do not enforce something straight away, we can still enforce it later.
  • Third parties. No one other than you and us has rights under these terms.

12. Complaints, law, and jurisdiction

Please come to us first — hello@halomath.net. We aim to reply within 5 working days.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes may be brought in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts. Nothing here affects your rights as a consumer.

If we cannot resolve a complaint, you can contact Citizens Advice (citizensadvice.org.uk) for free consumer advice.
